FDR's home was located about two miles from Hyde Park, a town located in the northwest part of Dutchess County, NY. The first of these two items is a miniature plaster pin with the front fully formed like a football complete down to the stitching and with raised letters accented in blue bearing the town name "Hyde Park." The letter Y has lost a tiny bit of its upper left arm. The back of this piece is flat and has a safety pin half way embedded into the white plaster. There is also a tiny letter "F" written on the reverse. Whether this is a symbolic political football or perhaps a pin to support the local high school team is unknown but it was purchased in that area and definitely appears to be from FDR's years in office. The second piece is definitely a campaign item. This is a 1" wide blue enamel on brass pin reading "Dutchess Co./Neighbor/For/Roosevelt." There is a small 1/16" enamel flake gone center right which has a spot of color touch up applied so it does not show much. There are also three tiny surrounding hairline cracks but still the piece displays Extremely Fine. Unlisted in Hake.
