The United States campaign for "Pure Food" began in the 1880's and resulted in the 1906 passage of the "Food And Drug Act." The General Federation of Women's Clubs was very active and urged women to boycott products their local grocer would not guarantee as pure. This rare artifact is from the convention held in D.C. at Columbia University Hall.
