Item Description
Smallest item is 5/8" "Dry" pin while the stickpins are both 2-3/8" tall. Other items are to scale. First is embossed tin disc, no fastener apparently ever on the reverse, showing pair of crossed hatchets with text above "Down With Rum." Next is stickpin with brass hatchet inscribed on handle "Death To Rum." Next is stickpin with cello center "Catch-My-Pal Total Abstinence Union." First we've seen of this. Next is birthstone design pocket mirror. Underside mirror is NM. Mirror's top edge had speck of glue that may show in our photo but now removed. Text on this reads "Thanks For Your Support On 'Home Rule' And State Wide Prohibition/W. F. Semon/Cor 3rd And Green Sts. Marietta, Ohio." Next is enamel and brass badge with "General Officer" on the hanger while below is an eagle and shield surrounded by "Anti Saloon League Of America." This was made by Bastian. Next is a highly convex celluloid button featuring a camel. Underside is metal with two openings for thread. Next is "Dry" enamel on brass pin. Next is figural fountain in die-cut celluloid reading "Temperance Day" on the front. Reverse has name of Sunday school supply house David C. Cook Pub. Co. Very slight bend on lower right corner of the fountain. Next are a pair of small brass clips which are identical and read "American Temperance Society/College Chapter." Whereas the other items are all earlier than 1920 these two clips seemed to be of more recent vintage, perhaps 1950's. All items are Exc. to Mint unless noted otherwise.
