Item Description
Lot of 2 both attractively illustrated tin litho pails, 1950's. First is 7.5" tall w/6.5" diameter. Title is "Treasure Island" and wraparound theme depicts pirates. At the back seam there is a .25x1" spot of bare metal apparently where paint did not adhere as manufactured, as pail itself has an unused appearance. Otherwise remains totally bright and glossy, Exc. Second item is a candy container pail 3" tall with 3.25" diameter. Marked "Stover Candies, Inc. Hershey, PA." Wraparound theme depicts sea life engaged in activities such as fish about to cut a fishing line to get a worm, turtle and lobster with sand pail and shovel, fish swimming through a sand castle, etc. Small scattered traces of paint wear, mostly to extreme rim and interior. Appearance remains bright and glossy. VF.
