Item Description
Lot of two, both tin litho and from the 1950s. First is 4" tall by Marx and features a carnival theme. Images include Donald participating in strong man challenge, Donald's nephews and Pluto with circus animals, Goofy as barker, Dumbo flying with coin. Back panel has some color rubs/hairline scratches. Rest of bank shows only small traces of wear. Glossy, VF. Second bank is by Chein, 6.5" in length. Marked "2nd National Duck Bank" and designed like a building. The "Teller" window on front has Donald image and when locked into place a tray representing his tongue sticks out. A coin is then placed on this and a button to the left side is pressed causing his tongue to go back into his mouth depositing the coin as door shuts to reveal second Donald portrait. Additional images are of Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Pinocchio with Figaro. Goofy and Pluto as guards being distracted by Donald's nephews who load a wheelbarrow full of money. Tiny scattered paint nicks. Glossy, VF. Nice pair.
