Item Description
Lot of eight, including five plates and three bowls. A shallow bowl (5.25" dia.) and plate (7" dia.) were both obtained from the Swedish Pavillion and each has same style illustration, one w/"Varmland - Sweden" text, the other w/"Halland - Sweden" text. Plate has wire hanger on reverse. Four plates are two matched 7-1/8" dia. pairs in two different colors from the American Potter exhibit. Each plate depicts potter at work. One is marked "First EditionFor Collections Limited To One Hundred Pieces". This is No. 74. Exc./NM. Two bowls are each 10" dia. and 2.5" deep and feature matching graphics. One reads "New York World's Fair - 1939." Other was produced w/no text, but bottom is dated 1940, Union Made. Both by Paden City Pottery. Bowl w/o text/date has scattered crazing and is Exc. Other bowl has chip under rim. Displays Fine.
