Item Description
Adventure Comics was one of DC’s longest lasting titles. It was known as New Adventure for the first 31 issues and than changed to the now-familiar Adventure Comics with issue #32. The book lasted until 1983 when it was finally canceled with issue #503. This is an astounding run for a comic. Over the years it was the home for countless number of heroes. This unrestored issue contains two of the most memorable, Starman and Sandman. This issue is especially notable for the first appearance of Sandman’s sidekick, Sandy the Golden Boy. It also marks the introduction of a new costume for Sandman. Artists who worked on this issue include Jack Burnley and Siegel and Schuster. The pages are off-white. The book has been CGC-certified 9.4 (NM). According to the CGC Census, this is the highest certified copy they have seen. It is also recognized as having belonged to the collection actor Nicholas Cage.
