Auction #184 - Part II
Item numbers 953 through 2651 in auction 184
Item Description
The title (and character) was so popular that within a few issues, it quickly moved from a quarterly publication into a bi-monthly status. (It would eventually move back to Quarterly). During this time, the Flash was all over the DC Universe. He was also appearing in Flash Comics (an anthology title) and All-Star Comics as a member of the Justice Society of America. In All-Star he was eventually sidelined because editors felt that he may be over exposed, plus they wanted to use that tile to promote lesser-known heroes. The book’s novel-length story really stands out as a solid example of enjoyable Golden Age writing. The cover is by E. E. Hibbard. The pages are white. This unrestored book is CGC-certified 9.0 VF/NM. According to the CGC Census, this is the highest-graded copy they have seen. It is also recognized to be part of the Vancouver pedigree.
