Item Description
The title is one of Harvey Publications earliest success stories. The character was one of the earliest heroes to appear on radio (1936). It also experienced success at the movies. Britt Reid was the son of Larry Reid who was the nephew of the Lone Range. In his normal life he was a crusading publisher. At night, he and his assistant Kato took to the streets in their amazing car The Black Beauty to carry on with that crusade. The concept of the Green Hornet is still strong today. A modern movie version has been close to production several times over they past few years. The book lasted almost a decade. The last few issues added the term Racket Buster to the title. The pages are off-white. This unrestored book is CGC-certified 9.0 (VF/NM). According to the CGC Census this copy is the highest-graded copy they have seen.
