As public taste in comics changed after the war, many publishers found themselves moving into other genres such as Westerns or Horror. This title debuted with Crestwood Publishing, but quickly found itself being published under the banner of Headline. It is a very strong entry into the than burgeoning market for horror books. The ghastly cover on this anthology is by Simon and Kirby. They also contribute interior art. Mort Meskin also worked on the interior. The pages are cream to off-white.
