Item Description
The first piece consists of the very common litho "Landon/Knox" name button which is 9/16". This is pinned to a highly domed brown fabric center surrounded by individually die-cut felt segments to form a sunflower. The back of the piece is covered in a circular cardboard and extending from this is a 1" brass pin. The cardboard is stamped "C. Fetter, Ottawa, Kans." NM displaying Mint. Second item has a 1-3/8" litho name button. This is pinned to a double layer of felt 2.5" wide forming a petal design and behind this is a 2.75" layer of brown fabric which in turn has behind it a 5.5" diameter series of yellow felt petals. One of the larger upper left petals has tiny insect chew mark but no actual hole. The back of this piece is covered in a 2.75" black fabric which has applied to it a blue ink stamped square label reading "Made By American Legion/Auxiliary." NM. Two very unusual symbolic sunflower Landon items. Don & Mildred Wright Collection.
