Item Description
Smaller buttons are 1.25" and the larger are 1.75". First button names Negro league team which played in Baltimore 1938-1950. Second reading "Cuban All Stars/Baseball Champions" is c.1950s although we have not found further information. Third button "Boston All Stars" was issued for the 13th game in the series played in 1946. Next are two buttons and two duplicate buttons naming "Boston Braves." Next are team buttons for "New York Giants" and "Philadelphia Athletics." Group ends up with pair of buttons for teams in the American Football League. These are "New York Americans" and "Boston Yankees." The league merged with the N.F.L. Edge of the "Americans" has near pinpoint nick but otherwise all buttons in the group are very close to Mint.
