Item Description
These are from the jewelry firm Cohn & Rosenberger. The ring is for a young child and features a narrow non-adjustable size 5 band. The ring is in a coppery luster. Ring top has more or less octagonal shape surrounding die-cut figure of Mickey in his classic pose with hand extended and with his pants and shoes in bright yellow enamel paint. Under magnification it appears the metal was once silvered but that evaporated leaving a particularly attractive coppery finish. The box is 1-3/8" wide by 2" tall and nearly 1" thick. The front and back cardboard panels extend beyond the center box area giving the piece the exact appearance of a 3-D book. The spine carries the title "Mickey Mouse" while below is a tiny copyright symbol and the initials "W.D." Mickey appears on the front cover which opens revealing a second image of him on the inside cover and on this he moves along on roller skates. Box interior has a velvet panel with a center slot to hold the ring. Box and ring are both NM. Extremely rare. Maurice Sendak Collection. Comes with Hake's COA.
