8.75" tall tin litho toy depicts anthropomorphic dog magician standing on tin litho base and behind tin litho podium. He holds a hard plastic top hat in one of his rubber hands. Head is covered in flocked fabric and dog has plastic eyes. Built-in key on back. Made in Japan, c. 1950s. When wound, dog lifts hat to reveal plastic egg underneath. He then lowers hat over egg again and lifts hat once more to reveal small tin litho rooster that has switched w/egg while dog makes barking noise. Toy works well. Rubber hands have hardened w/age and toy has some lt. dust soiling and scattered paint nicks/small scratches to podium. "Made In Japan" text on side of podium was covered in paint. VF overall. Great design.
