Item Description
This poster could be a campaign poster from 1864 or it could be from the early months of 1865 while Johnson was Vice President. Bold and graphic poster has been matted under glass to 18.25x23" and comes in 24x29" frame and is ready for display. Nice portraits of Lincoln and Johnson surrounding smaller portrait of Washington with images of Union Army and Navy heroes Porter, Farragut (Spelled here "Faragut"), Dahlgren (spelled here "Dahglgreen"), Sherman, Grant and Sheridan. A few of these posters were found years ago o/w this poster would easily exceed the $1,000 range in value. Couple of pinpoint age dots. NM and quite striking.
