Item Description
Largest ribbon is 10.5" long. Booklet is 6x7.75". Ribbons include: "Tammany Hall Inauguration Cleveland And Stevenson March 4, 1893" with striking Native American, tiger and US Capitol designs (toning throughout most noticeable in cream background on lower half); woven silk portrait with facsimile signature (seven light grey dots of staining most noticeable in upper 2/3 of ribbon); "Grover Cleveland Democratic Candidate For President 1892" with White House at bottom (tiny light brown stain at upper left) and a bold portrait ribbon (two less than 1/2" light cream stains to the upper right of portrait). Booklet is titled "The President's Message 1887" with text from a speech given by Cleveland to Congress and 19 cartoons by Nast. Spine has 1" split and 1/4" area of loss at bottom and page signatures have popped loose. Overall tanning to wrappers while interior pages remain fresh. Don & Mildred Wright Collection.
