Item Description
The fames western film star had a great run in comics. He lasted eighty-five issues at Fawcett and when they were done, DC picked him up for another forty-nine. All told he ran from 1943 until 1959. That is a great run for any hero, much less a cowboy. This is his first issue and in addition to his debut, it is also the beginning of his horse Topper. Take special not of Captain Marvel at the bottom .He is welcoming him to the Fawcett family. The pages are off-white. According to the CGC Census, this is the highest graded copy they have seen. It is also recognized as belonging to the Vancouver pedigree.
