Item Description
2". Produced in 1968 w/only 300 being distributed. RAT was a major underground newspaper in New York City founded in 1968. The straight forward design of the publication was the brain child of Bob Eisner who went on to become a leading designer of mainstream publications. Notable contributors included Kurt Vonnegut, William S. Burroughs and Robert Crumb. The paper is known for in-depth reporting on the likes of: the militant Puerto Rican Young Lords Party, Black Panthers including trial coverage of the New York Panther 21, the Weather Underground and SDS.
