Item Description
First is 1" tall die cut figural Liberty Bell with attached moveable stick pin. Front reads "We Are Independent/Acme" Reverse text "I Hereby Declare That I Am A Believer In Independence And In Acme Harvesting Machines Made At Peoria, Ill." Second, also from Peoria, is 5/8" advertising button for "Clark-Smith Hdw. Co." Reverse holds die cut celluloid simulating ribbons with text "Gold-Tipped Tools/Square Deal Cutlery/Minnetonna Home Creamery." Third is a 2" double sided celluloid luggage tag. Front and back are joined by a small rivet at the bottom. Front has globe design with extensive advertising for "Good All 'Round/Clay, Robinson & Co. Live Stock Commission/Sales That Suit." Reverse is clear but yellowed celluloid disk while back of the front piece has name and address of the original owner in Everton, Mo. Light age on the reverse but the front displays cleanly. Last is a large 2.5" tall die cut celluloid sheet with a moveable 1" stickpin at the top. A small rivet holds a brown piece of cardboard between the layers of hot pink celluloid. Front promotes "W.C. Shinn Co./Lincoln Nebr./Lightning Rods." On the reverse the card is stamped with a Colorado dealers name. We've seen the Acme piece a couple of times but the other three are first we've seen. Three of the four are NM displaying Mint.
