Item Description
First two buttons are 1.25" both without back papers. The first for "Quality Milk" showing baby with bottle as well as product bottle is one of the most graphic of the early dairy promotion buttons. Essentially Mint. Second and the first we've seen, is for "Blue Boy" a packager of "Fresh Fruits, Vegetables, Frozen Fruits, Dried Beans & Grain." Upper left and far right have just the slightest trace of age tone spots but the button still has fabulous gloss. This one is c. 1940s as is the following 1.5" with cartoon character promoting "Van's Bread." This has back paper from St. Louis Button Co. Last is 1-5/8" very unusual vertical oval litho with cardboard reverse and vertical pin. Front shows colonial lady with text "Eat Fair-Maid Bread & Cakes." Short hairline of color off her lower skirt but rest is Mint.
