Item Description
22.75x28.5" frame contains art that has been double-matted to 15x20.75". Done in mixed media, this piece recreates the cover to "Master Comics" #21 comic published by Fawcett Publishing in Dec. 1941. Features original art by renowned comic book artist Murphy Anderson (1926-2016), an American comic book artist, known as one of the premier inkers of his era, who worked for companies such as DC Comics for over 50 years, starting in the Golden Age during the 1940s. He worked on such characters as Hawkman, Batgirl, Zatanna, The Spectre and Superman, as well as on the Buck Rogers comic strip. Anderson has signed at lower left, noting "After Mac Raboy," the original artist who provided the cover art for the finished comic. Great cover features Captain Marvel and Bulletman glaring at "World Enemy No. 1" Captain Nazi, who was introduced in issue #21. Done in the early 1990s. Exc.
