Item Description
11x12.75" sheet mounted to 11x14" artboard features original pencil drawings of Captain Marvel, Captain Nazi and Bulletman as they appeared on the cover to "Master Comics" #21 (see item #1653), published by Fawcett Publications in Dec. 1941. That art was originally done by Mac Raboy, but this art appears to be a character study by Beck (1910-1989), an American comic book artist best-known for his work on Captain Marvel at Fawcett Comics and DC Comics. All three characters are shown near full body, from the ankle up and art has eyelines added at Captain Marvel and Bulletman. Beck has signed in pencil at bottom center. Right margin has noticeable moisture/glue staining and sheet was once folded as evidenced by faint fold creases (none overly distracting). VG overall, but could be matted for a nice display.
