Item Description
Pair of 11x14" sheet of spiral-bound art paper featuring pen and ink and pencil original art. First sheet features great full body image of Hank Pym (formerly Ant-Man) in his late 1960s, 1970s persona of Yellowjacket. Art by Dave Cockrum (1943-2006), who has signed at bottom center. Art was obtained in-person at the Howard the Duck Con in Mt. Laurel, NJ on Nov. 20, 1977. Art is clean and Exc. Second sheet features great transformation scene, showing Ant-Man growing; three distinct sizes visible. This is the second Ant-Man - Scott Lang - as drawn by Bob Layton, who provided the art to the cover of "Marvel Premier" #47 (April 1979), the issue that introduced Lang as Ant-Man. Layton has signed in black ink at lower right. Art was obtained in-person at the Quaker Bridge Mall Comic Convention on March 24, 1979, right around the time Lang's debut appearance as Ant-Man was on store shelves. Exc.
