Item Description
Pair of 12" sheets of spiral-bound art paper featuring black felt tip pen and lead pencil original art. First sheet features nice portrait of Marvel mystic Doctor Strange by popular Marvel Bronze Age artist Gene Colan (1926-2011). Art has been inscribed "To Mike - Sincerely Gene Colan." Art was obtained in-person at the Howard the Duck Con in Mt. Laurel, NJ on Nov. 20, 1977. Second sheet features great portrait image of Johnny Blaze as Ghost Rider by comic artist/writer/editor Bob Layton, notable for his work on Marvel Comics titles such as "Iron Man" and "Hercules," and for co-founding Valiant Comics. Layton has signed at lower right. Art was obtained in-person at the Eldorado Comics shop in Pennsauken, NJ on Aug. 11, 1979. Aside from removal from spiral binding, art is clean and Exc.
