Item Description
22-1/8x28" thin cardboard poster for May 31, 1945 performance that took place at the Bell, FL High School Auditorium featuring Eddy Arnold (1918-2008), an American country musician who performed for six decades. He was a so-called "Nashville Sound" innovator of the late 1950s, and scored 147 songs on the Billboard Country Music charts (second only to George Jones) and sold more than 85 million records. He was also a member of the Grand Ole Opry (beginning 1943) and was inducted into Country Music Hall of Fame in 1966. Poster notes "In Person WSM Grand Ole Opry Star" and features large photo portrait of Arnold, who holds guitar w/his name on guitar's neck. 2" tear just below center at right margin and .75" tear at bottom margin. 13" long streak of moisture staining along right of picture. Scattered aging/wear w/spot of moisture staining at bottom right. Still Fine overall. Scarce.
