Item Description
14x22" thin cardboard window card for 1940s concert featuring "'The King Of Western Swing'" Bob Wills and "The Band With The Beat." Poster was printed by Colorcraft Poster Co., of Oklahoma City, OK. Poster features photo of Wills and Western theme. Wills (1905-1975), was an American Western Swing musician, songwriter and bandleader. Considered by music authorities as the co-founder of Western Swing, he formed several bands and played radio stations around the south and west until he formed the Texas Playboys in 1934. Marquee at top remains unused and window card has even aging w/two darker streaks of aging at lower left/right margins. Fine.
