Item Description
Reginald (Reg) Manning was an American artist and illustrator best known for his editorial cartoons. This 46x49.5" linen tablecloth features Manning's illustrations done in map style w/several caricatures of various World War II world leaders, including Adolph Hitler, Benito Mussolini, Josef Stalin and patriotic figures including England's John Bull and Uncle Sam. Map also features battleships, German submarine, bare-breasted hula girl, anti-Hitler text, map of Europe showing Germany's expanded territory, Vichy France, etc. Uncle Sam has .25x.5" hole and there is a .5x1" repaired hole on Africa. Tablecloth also has a faint oxidation ring and some scattered staining. Fine overall.
