31.5x43.5" broadside entitled "New Military Compend." published by H.H. Lloyd & Co's. in 1865, right after the end of the Civil War. Broadside features an early representation of the history of the Civil War, w/hand-colored columns of facts/events surrounded by illustrations of rank insignias, manual of arms, etc. Information of note includes back pay, bounties and provisions as well as rebellion military hospitals and more. Folded into sixths, w/obvious wear along fold lines and at fold crease intersections including sizable splits/tears. Margins also show noticeable wear, w/a number of tears along top margin and uneven left margin due to numerous small chips. Still VG overall for display and a prime candidate for restoration.
