Item Description
13.5x16x3" deep box contains 1930s set similar to #1306. Old store stock. Box has small tear on top, slight paper loss at corners, few minor creases but still displays VF with great design. Box also has original inserts. Set includes 8.5" long litho tin locomotive with built-in key. Litho has some engine details and piping on sides as well as engineer at windows and "Hafner Trains" on star-designed logo on sides. Comes with 4 tin litho cars including coal car marked "Hafner," box car marked "Santa Fe The Grand Canyon Line" with opening door, hopper car marked "Hafner Trains" in a circle logo and lastly the caboose is marked "North Western Chicago And North Western." Also comes with sheet of operating instructions and track layout. This has one small hole punched in center. Also comes with 12 curved track sections and 4 straight track sections. Engine works and has bell-ringing mechanism as it runs along the track. Tiny traces of wear aging as boxed but set remains Exc. overall.
