29.25x39 poster w/image by L.A. Shaffer depicting US Coast Guard ship accepting surrender of German U-Boat w/passenger ship in bkg. w/"They Kept The Sea Lanes Open" text at top right. Additional text at bottom reads "Invest In The Victory Liberty Loan." Printed by the W.F. Powers Co. Litho of New York in 1918. Poster has had extensive restoration to several crease lines/tears across image area. These blend for the most part. Bottom margin text has been restored as have top margin and upper corners. VG overall, but would display nicely if framed.
