Item Description
3.5x5.5" vintage matte postcard depicting 10 team members in full uniform posed on a ballfield. Identification at bottom of photo reads "Calamus Ia. Ball-Team Champions of Eastern Ia.". We were unable to obtain any additional information about this club, likely a company/town squad taking on all comers in their local area. Image clarity is superb, lt. even corner wear visible with chipping along the left edge. Divided postcard back remains blank and unused. VELOX stamp box dates the postcard to 1907-17. VG. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
