Item Description
2.5x3-1/8". The 1941 Play Ball series consists of 72 cards. The 1941 set introduced color to its card fronts - though many of the pieces were simply colorized versions of the player's 1940 card.
Carl Hubbell, who spent his entire career (1928-1943) w/the Giants and was a nine-time All-Star (1933-1938, 1940-1942), two-time NL MVP (1933, 1936) and a World Series champion (1933). Hubbell was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1947. The autograph is very strong and well placed at the bottom of the card without impeding the image.
