Item Description
Complete 27-piece set for tea service for 12. Made in France by Faiencerie d'Onnaing China Co., 1930s. This company made this set in two different Deco designs, one w/stepped ring design w/silver or gold accent trim and this set which was done in geometric shapes w/black accent trim. Set consists of a dozen 2-1/8" tall handled cups, all w/same repeated small images of Mickey Mouse on one side, Minnie Mouse on the other; a dozen 4.75" dia. saucers w/same repeated small images of Pluto, Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow. Cups and saucers have company mark on undersides w/"Mickey Mouse" stamp. Set also includes 4.75" tall lidded sugar bowl w/images of Mickey w/letters and alarmed Minnie on sides, lid has small images of Mickey, Pluto and Minnie w/letter. 4.75" tall creamer features same images as on sides of sugar bowl. 9" tall teapot has differing/larger images of Mickey calling and Minnie w/umbrella on sides. Lid has same smaller images as lid of sugar bowl. Sugar bowl, creamer and teapot all have incised company name and "Exclusive Mickey Mouse" stamps on undersides. Inner rim of teapot has 1.5" long edge off, but as displayed w/lid in place, this is not noticeable. Displays VF. Two cups have issues, one w/.5" rim chip w/moderate staining while other has 1.75" long hairline crack by handle which has broken off and been reattached w/glue. These are VG. A few others show lt. wear to corners of handles and are Fine to VF overall. Sugar bowl and creamers shows trace of wear and are VF.
