9x12" plain brown mailer envelope. Original postage strip dated Jan. 7, 1946 w/War Bond imprint from NY, NY. Original address label "from Detective Comics, Inc., Publishers of Action Comics, Detective Comics, More Fun Comics, Adventure Comics, Batman Comics and Star Spangled Comics." "Merchandise-Fourth Class Mail" label. Lt. aging/handling wear. Lt. creasing. One end of metal clasp missing. A few minor edge tears and two staple rust marks on front at edges. Fine overall. Rarely seen golden age survivor and likely used to mail comics. Harry Matetsky Collection.
