Item Description
1.5x2.75". The 1911 George Close Candy (E94) baseball card set was produced by Cambridge, Massachusetts' George Close Company and appears similar to numerous other card issuances of the era. This 30-card set of unnumbered cards show an artist rendering of each color-tinted black-and-white player photo in action with a solid background of blue, gold, deep green, olive, red, purple or yellow. The cards reveal each image with a white border surrounding the image and the player's name and team printed in black on the bottom. The backs display 11 different variations with "The George Close Co." product promotion printed in black. One variation of the back includes a checklist of the 30 members of this production.
