(D304) baseball set was distributed with five different known back styles and appears similar to the tobacco and candy cards of the age though they measure 1.75x2.5". The five styles in alphabetically order were Brunners, Butter Krust, General Baking Co., Weber Bakery and Martens Bakery. The front s of each show a color lithograph of the player with his name, and team printed below in capital letters within the white border. Some cards of traded players have their name and team blacked out. The complete set includes 25 cards, but excludes any "no-team" variations. This unnumbered set is heavy with Hall of Fame talent and anchored by the likes of Ty Cobb, Christy Mathewson, Honus Wagner and Cy Young among many others.

Nap Rucker was a left-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball for the Brooklyn Superbas/Dodgers/Robins. Over his 10 seasons, Rucker led the league in shutouts, complete games, and innings pitched throughout his career. On September 5, 1908, Rucker became the first left-handed pitcher to throw a no-hitter in Dodger history.
