Item Description
2x3.25". The 1921-23 National Caramel (E220) baseball set consists of 121 cards issued between 1921 and 1923. Each unnumbered card features a black-and-white player likeness within a white border on the card front. The player's full name, team name, position, and league also appear within the image area. The National Caramel baseball set is generally considered scarce and difficult to complete.
Frisch's speed earned him the nickname "The Fordham Flash," which Frisch has referred to above his signature. His 19-year MLB playing career saw him play w/the New York Giants (1919-1926) and St. Louis Cardinals (1927-1937) before going on to manage the Cardinals (1933-1938), Pittsburgh Pirates (1940-1946) and Chicago Cubs (1949-1951). He was the 1931 NL MVP, a three-time All-Star and four-time World Series Champion (1921, 1922, 1931, 1934). Elected to the National Baseball HOF in 1947.
