Item Description
2.5x3-1/8". The 1940 Play Ball series consists of 240 cards.
George Lange Kelly (1895-1984), nicknamed "Long George" and "High Pockets", was an American professional baseball first baseman. Kelly threw and batted right-handed, and was listed as a lanky 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 m) tall-the source of his nicknames-and 190 pounds. Some of his career highlights include NL home run leader, two time World Series Champion and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1973. The autograph is bold and well placed at the bottom of the card without impeding the image.
