Item Description
3.5x5.5" vintage matte postcard depicting 14 team members in full uniform along w/three gentlemen dressed in formal attire and posed in front of stadium seating. Team identification at bottom reads "Grand Rapids Baseball Team Central League Season 1906". Production credit on back of postcard reads "E. B. Williamson, South Bend, Indiana". This Grand Rapids baseball club finished first in the 1906 Central League w/a final record of 99-52. Hand written note inside right margin on front and back has been postally used w/a cancellation date of April 28, 1907. Moderate creasing visible at top left corner on front w/lt. even corner wear and a few scuff marks on back. Fine. Richard Merkin Collection.
