Item Description
2x3". Little is known about this issue. The complete set consists of 231 "cards" that are actually stickers to be used with an accompanying album. There are subsets for the Santurce All-Star Team (#1-#9), Ponce All-Star Team (#10-#18), and Roberto Clemente (#198-#206) composite photos. Several former Negro League players are found within the set, as are a number of young major leaguers that were getting in extra Winter work in Puerto Rico.
Orlando Manuel Cepeda Pennes (1937 - 2024), nicknamed "the Baby Bull" and "Peruchin", was a Puerto Rican first baseman in Major League Baseball who played for six teams from 1958 to 1974, primarily the San Francisco Giants. An 11-time All-Star, Cepeda was one of the most consistent power hitters in the National League (NL) through the 1960s, one time World Series champion and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999.
