Item Description
18x24" on thin glossy stock. Copyright at bottom left "1974 RCA Records". Designed by David Edward Byrd, a noted concert and Broadway poster artist. Blank area below "Fall Tour 1974" was intended to be filled in by promoters in their local area. The fall tour saw Reed stopping at 30 venues in the US and Canada. Once rolled w/only light handling wear. Exc. Sally Can't Dance was the follow up to Reed's fourth solo album after leaving the Velvet Underground. The record was a hit, peaking at #10 on the Billboard charts. RCA pressured Reed to quickly produce another record to capitalize on the moment. Reed though was disinterested in RCA's demands and proceeded to deliver them the follow up Metal Machine Music. The experimental noise album was a radical departure from his prior work but cemented his reputation as one of rock's most cantankerous figures.
