Item Description
2.5x3.25" printed on thin paper. These were originally issued as 5.5x8" sheets w/four cards per sheet that were meant to be hand cut and mounted in a corresponding album. These sheets were actual pages from the Cuban "Sports Almanac" magazine titled "Almanaque Deportivo." There are 160 cards in the set. Set features former and future Major Leaguers along w/Negro League and Caribbean stars.

Santos Amaro, better known as "Canguro" Amaro (1908 - 2001), was a Cuban professional baseball player who played in both the Cuban League and the Mexican League. One of the most aggressive players in Cuban baseball, Amaro had thousands of admirers both in Cuba and Mexico. He was inducted into the Mexican Baseball Hall of Fame in 1977.
