Item Description
2.25" "Crew" button for a "B-29" with serial number "12419". Light wear in reflected light with a couple short 1/8" deeper lines upper right. The B-29 Superfortress was crewed by 11 specially trained aviators and became the airplane capable of the first long-range strategic bombing of the Japanese islands beginning in March, 1944 from bases in India. Button reverse has stamped maker's name St. Louis Button Co. Rare. Fine with gloss.
