Item Description
1.25" with bug and Philadelphia Badge Co. on curl. We put the question of what G.S.E.A. stands for to  the American Political Items Collectors' crack researcher David Holcomb. While not definitive, we think David solved the puzzle. He found a link between steel turrets and the General Steel Company. In 1929, General Steel Castings Corp. acquired Commonwealth Steel Co. of Granite City, Il. Both companies supplied railroads during their early years but during WWII the Granite City plant made armor and cast steel tank turrets. So we think General Steel made the turrets and the work force was assigned to "Keep 'Em Rolling",  thus General Steel Employees' Association.   Our first seen. Rare. Glossy. Exc.
