Item Description
From the 2-1/8" Yankees team series. This is not to be confused w/the smaller and much more common 1.75" PM10 that has a different photo. This is from the scarcer, and larger, NY Yankees team series. No maker. Shown in New York Yankees cap, he played for the team 1951-60. Minor and typical, for this button series, crazing of the button paper under the cello and only seen upon magnification/reflected light. All remains glossy and Exc. Paul Muchinsky Collection Book Example.

McDougald was the 1951 American League Rookie of the Year. He was an All-Star for five seasons, and was a member of eight American League pennant-winning teams and five World Series champion teams. He was known for hitting a line drive that severely injured pitcher Herb Score's right eye during a game at Municipal Stadium in 1957
