Item Description
1.75" dia. Marked "S.M." on curl. Spring pin holding ribbon, metal link chain with plastic baseball bat and  baseball. Shown in Brooklyn Dodgers uniform, he played for the franchise his entire MLB career, 1953-66. Lt. age to ribbon, pinhole on bottom red tip. Fine. James William "Junior" Gilliam was a second baseman, third baseman, and coach in Negro League and Major League Baseball. A three-time All-Star in the Negro Leagues for the Baltimore Elite Giants. In MLB he was ROY in 1953, a two-time All-Star and four-time World Series champion. The Dodgers retired his No. 19.
