Item Description
16x23-1/8" artboard has pen and ink original art for April 16, 1972 Donald Duck Sunday page attributed to Frank Grundeen (1911-1986), the main artist on the Donald Duck comic strip 1967-1974/75. Sunday page features eight panels (plus pasted title stat) of original art, showing Donald being awoken by arguing neighbors. When confronted, the neighbor man switched places w/Donald, leaving him to face his angry wife. Donald appears in every panel (one w/his head covered by a pillow). Inked "Duck" notation at lower right w/some faint scattered editorial notations in margins. Copyright strip and KFS distribution strip pasted in center panel. Artboard has been mounted to mat backing board; overall size is 21.5x28.5". Art remains clean and Exc. and is ready for framing.
