Item Description
2x3.5" stiff card w/textured back bears black ink cut signature of Babe Ruth (1895-1948), who began his MLB career as a star left-handed pitcher for the Boston Red Sox in 1914, playing there through 1919. In 1920, "The Babe" joined the New York Yankees, where he would go on to slug 714 career home runs, by far the all-time record when he retired in 1936 after his one season w/the Boston Braves. He was a two-time All-Star, a seven-time World Series champ and 1923 AL MVP. Ruth was elected to the National Baseball HOF w/the inaugural class in 1936. Signature has aged slightly, lightening somewhat but remaining legible. VF. A nice, distinct and inscription-free example, ready to be framed w/your favorite Ruth image. Comes w/JSA LOA.
