12x17" DC Comics artboard features pen and ink original art w/screentone accents for cover to Superman Vol. 2 #65, published by DC March 1992. Art is by fan-favorite Superman artist Dan Jurgens w/inks by frequent collaborator Brett Breeding. Cover is for "Panic In The Sky! Second Strike" storyline and is action-packed, showing Superman leading the charge into battle, followed by Batman, Captain Marvel/Shazam, Green Lantern (Guy Gardner), Agent Liberty (who had debuted just five issues earlier), Deathstroke, Aquaman and The Guardian. This cover art will be republished later this year as the cover to Superman: The Triangle Era Omnibus Vol. 2. Jurgens and Breeding's name have been written at lower left.  Artboard has DC publishing indicia and title/story title stats. Superman image below indicia block is pasted stat, which shows glue staining. Top margin has inked title, as well as month of publication and issue number. Three staples across top margin edge. Back has DC Comics copyright inkstamp, printer job stamp as well as handwritten notation. Back also has preliminary pencils for Deathstroke's pose, which matches finished art on front. Screentone accents and stats have evenly aged, but o/w art is clean and Exc. overall.
