ART IS BY DICK GIORDANO, NOT JIM JANES AS STATED IN CATALOG DESCRIPTION.
11.25x17" DC Comics Sparta artboard has pen and ink original art for cover to Secrets Of The Legion Of Super-Heroes #3, published by DC March 1981. Art is by Dick Giordano (1932-2010). Art shows Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes (Chameleon Boy, Shadow Lass, Mon-El, Lightning Lad, Saturn Girl, Dawnstar and Wildfire) fleeing from a futuristic city as they are pursued. Giordano's name has been inked along left margin and he has signed art in black ink at lower right. Top margin has inked "Secrets Of The Legion" title, as well as month of publication and issue number. Back has DC Comics copyright inkstamp, printer job stamp w/inked details as well as large "Do Not Use This Side" stamp. Artboard has staple holes at top center margin as well as some scattered margin staining. Spot of staining to Dawnstar's wing and below Superboy's feet. VF overall.
